Electrical Quality Control Inspector –

 Job Summary: 

Responsible for ensuring that manufactured items conform to identified quality, technical and dimensional requirements including workmanship standards. Responsible for reporting non-compliances in accordance with Company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that product passing through the Electrical Quality Control inspection function meets the quality objectives for the product
  • Report on conformance of Electrical Assemblies as part of ‘Line’ and ‘Roving’ inspection routine
  • As required, participate in root cause analysis, and assist in improvement activities to promote ‘Right First Time’
  • Support the manufacturing team to achieve output of high standards of quality
  • Attend and contribute to any relevant production meetings

  • Work closely with QA team in order to meet customer requirements
  • Ensure that all products are manufactures efficiently and in the most cost-effective manner
  • Undertake other tasks as identified by the business, which are generally in line with the interests and overall development of the company as a whole

General Tasks:

  • Inspection of piece parts, electrical and cable assemblies and completed assemblies as required.
  • ‘Pre-closure’ line and roving inspections for conformance to specification including workmanship standards.
  • Recording non-conformances using in-house processes.
  • Logging inspection status as required on inspection records and within MRP system


Essential skills, experience and knowledge required:

  • At least two years’ experience working in a similar role in the Aerospace or Defence industry
  • IPC620 and 610 experience (ideally ‘train the trainer’ qualifications)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office tools
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, technical specifications wiring schedules, schematics, and circuit diagrams.

  • Excellent communication, numeracy, and literacy skills
  • Flexible approach and willingness to undertake various responsibilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure. A professional approach is required for this highly responsible position.
