Ric is our new Managing Director and joined Aish from BAE Systems where he was Head of Naval Combat Systems Business Development. Whilst at BAE he was responsible for ensuring the Type 26 Global Combat Ship was chosen by the Royal Canadian Navy as its new design for the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) in February this year. Prior to joining BAE Systems, Ric spent 21 years in the Royal Navy as a Warfare Officer and underwater warfare specialist, as well as acquiring meteorology and oceanography qualifications.
In his spare time Ric’s passion is in competing in Triathalons, including Ironman Triathalons involving a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride and a marathon 26.22 mile run.
Sarah is the General Manager at Aish. She joined the company in October 2019 as the IPT leader for General Dynamics Electric Boat and also Head of Contracts and Export. She has spent most of her career in the defence sector in various commercial, compliance and export roles. She enjoys high paced dynamic working, being part of a team and achieving results. Key achievements prior to Aish include taking her previous company through to the finals of the Dorset Chamber Awards and winning Exporter of the Year for their contribution to UK export trade and the processes and procedures surrounding export governance. Outside of work she spends most of my time with her husband and two year old daughter, and enjoys cooking big meals for friends, wine and being outside at every opportunity, walking and attempting to grow something in her garden and veg patch. They have recently purchased a ‘project’ home, so she’s also busy dabbling (and being consumed by) home renovations and interior design.
Amber joined the AGI Group in 2016. As HR Director, Amber is responsible for the UK HR teams across Aish and AGI, which includes HR Advisors, Company Administrators, Apprentices and our in-house recruitment team. Amber has gained HR & L&D experience from three industries – retail, financial services and engineering and manufacturing in the defence sector. It is important to Amber that her team feels inspired to lead from the front and develop themselves to be the best they can be. Integrity and autonomy are integral to the success of her team. Amber has achieved Chartered status and holds an MA in HRM, alongside a first degree in Criminology. When she is not working, Amber aspires to be the next MasterChef and is constantly kept busy by her two active boys.
Tony joined Aish in June 2018 as their Business Development Manager and has over 30 years’ experience within the defence sector. Tony has been involved in delivering major contracts across the globe as far as Australia, Canada, Spain and the UK. He believes that a good professional relationship is essential to grow any business especially within the defence sector. In his spare time Tony enjoys playing Squash and Sea Fishing
James joined Aish in November 2019 as their Finance Director. Previous to Aish he worked in a variety of senior finance roles in the Logistics, Media, Telecommunications, Construction and Manufacturing sectors with his previous role prior to Aish being Commercial Finance Director for Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation UK. James has delivered key system improvement and implementation projects across CRM, ERP and MIS platforms in most businesses he has worked for and ensures that commercial and focused reporting and KPIs underpin business decision making to enable progress towards goals. Outside of work James manages and coaches 2 youth football teams and enjoys running and outdoor swimming.
Jon joined Aish in July 2019 as a Project Manager and was promoted to IPT lead for Surface Ships in September 2019. He has over 12 years’ experience as a Project Manager managing the full lifecycle of technical and business projects. He believes that communication, planning, attention to detail and determination is the key to successful full project delivery. In his spare time he enjoys, running, cycling and paddle boarding.
